Nancy Drake Posted 20 May , 2011 Share Posted 20 May , 2011 My Uncle, Francis Richards, was awarded the Military and Distinguished Conduct Medals for his actions in WW1. However, despite having the citation amongst some belongings passed to his neice, which came to my sister and I on her death last year, we cannot locate the medals and assume they have been sold. Is there anyone able to give me some information/guidance/advice as to where I can search to find where these medals have been sold? I would love to be able to put something with my family history records. With many thanks.
River97 Posted 20 May , 2011 Share Posted 20 May , 2011 You could give the BMF (British Medal Forum) a try. Also Token Publishing have a 'Medal Tracker' field on their website. Links below.
