Found this postcard today in a Large collection of family pictures.

Dont know the regiment.

I believe the surname may be Lock(loch)head. But unsure.

If he has an MIC, it might be listed as "Lochhead, John". Jack was a common diminutive of John. Yours, Antony

The only clue is the shoulder titles and they are indistinct, although there are a few things that can be deduced. The title has letters of the large, block type and these usually indicate RA, RE, ASC and AOC, to mention the most common. Looking at your man I believe the diagonal line of the first letter might indicate an A so I would hazard a guess that he is probably ASC, or AOC with the former being the most likely in my opinion.
