southafricawargraves Posted 29 May , 2011 Author Share Posted 29 May , 2011 From my researcher in South Africa. Hello Ralph I have found the following references to someone called H W Hall. The first is in the Pretoria archives and I will have a look at this one. The second is in the Cape archives and I would have to ask my lady there to have a look at this file. I will look at the Pretoria one first and see whether its relevant. I know the year is wrong but that may be when his widow applied for a pension. Also, this man was in the Nyasaland Field Force. Kind regards Audrey DEPOT SAB SOURCE GG TYPE LEER VOLUME_NO 731 SYSTEM 01 REFERENCE 9/289/13 PART 1 DESCRIPTION WAR 1914 - 1919. PENSIONS. PAYMENT OF PENSION TO WIDOW OF LT.
