Epitaph to the Native Water Carrier

Hello - I stumbled on this today and am astounded I have never read it before. It is Kipling's epitaph for Native Water Carrier with the MEF. I am thinking of the Indian Muleteers at Gallipoli in particular. Unsung heroes and long overdue their own monument. No response sought. I just thought it interesting and worth sharing. Slighty more pithy than Gunga Din....MG
