RammyLad1 Posted 28 April , 2011 Share Posted 28 April , 2011 Hi Gareth The 9th btn,Duke of Wellingtons, were part of the 17th Northern division. The Long Long Trail website ( look under British divisions) will give you the list of battles they were involved in for the 1916/18 period, this will give you an idea as to where they were. Georgecf Posted 28 April , 2011 Share Posted 28 April , 2011 Gareth, 9th Duke of Wellington's 52nd Brigade, 17th Division from 1915 to 1918 in France and Flanders. As Duncan says, Long Long Trail website will give you broad movements and battle details. Worth trawling through if you want the details. Sadly the 9th Battalion war diaries are not available on line at the National Archive so unless you can get to Kew you won't be able to see those unless the regimental museum has copies. Some of them do and the museums are usually more than happy for you to visit and take a look. Georgie
