stephen p nunn Posted 14 April , 2011 Share Posted 14 April , 2011 Just got back from Ypres and, whilst there, bought a brass oiler for my SMLE. When I put it in the stock it moves around inside. How would the oiler originally be fitted inside please? (Need a pull-through next!). Thanks all. SPN Maldon.
Thunderbox Posted 14 April , 2011 Share Posted 14 April , 2011 The oiler was kept quiet by having a leather washer on one side (covering the head of the stock bolt) and the bulk of the wrapped pull-through pushing it from the other side.

stephen p nunn Posted 20 April , 2011 Author Share Posted 20 April , 2011 try this. http://www.smellysml...pullthrough.htm I have no idea where the extra p in front came from Nigel These instructions were really spot on. I achieved the right outcome tonight with my pull-through and it fits in the rifle with the oiler and some 4x2. Thanks very much.
