Death Plaque in Auction

I was researching my aunt's husband's family recently and decided to Google "John Dalzell". Imagine my surprise when I saw that his "Death Plaque" was up for auction in Northwich, Cheshire. The auction had taken place a few days before.

If anyone has purchased this and would like information on John Dalzell of Northwich, Cheshire of the 1st Battalion of the Cheshire Regiment, please shout out.

That is literally 'needle in a haystack' stuff!. CWGC lists only one John Dalzell, plus two more for J. Dalzell so the odds of it coming up for sale just days before you researched him are astronomical! :hypocrite:

I've been searching for a Death Plaque to a Herbert Smith (of which there are countless on CWGC) for years now with not a single sighting! One day...... perhaps........ maybe........conceivably......... god willing................oh, and any medals named to Monkhouse along the way
