I'm looking into the history of a soldier for a relation

ThomasandAmeliaMillieMoorebrotherandsisteredit.jpg

We think that the soldier is my relation's Great uncle called Arthur Thomas Moore who was born and lived in Hampshire. He is shown in the picture with his sister but can anyone help with a possible identification of the cap badge?

Here is a larger picture of the cap badge

We also think that this may be either the same soldier or a brother. I have a bit of difficulty differentiating between Gordons and Seaforths. I am pretty sure that this is a Seaforth badge on the sporran and I think that the diced stocking tops back this up.

Can somebody confirm that this is a Seaforth?

Many thnks

First picture looks like a general service badge or possibly Manchester regiment, and I'd agree that 2nd pic is Seaforths if the sporran badge is the same as the cap badge.

Thanks Neil,

that tends to confirm our own thoughts that it was a general service badge.
