Hi Folks,

I recently acquired a WW1 medal group and MSM to Staff Serjeant (sic) Hugh O'Sullivan whose medals are named to him as follows:

1914-15 Star to Gunner in the RGA,

BWM to Sjt in Military Farms Department

VM to SSjt in the RA

MSM to SSjt IML (india Miscellaneous List)

The only online resource I can find is his MIC, which lists his theatre of entry as HMS Hardinge, a troopship/armed merchant cruiser serving with the Royal Indian Marine. I have since looked him up on the India Office online search tool to no avail. Could anyone please shed any light on his likely duties and where else I might look to discover anything more about his career ( I have tried the British Medals Forum)?

Cheers!

Rick
