Medic7922 Posted 17 March , 2011 Share Posted 17 March , 2011 You learn something new everyday, While looking up about where I used to live and go to school in the Cosham & Farlington area of Portsmouth I discovered that the area I walked on was once the largest Ammo dump in the UK during WW1. I cannot find much information on the Dump only it stop operating around the late 1920s. Before the outbreak of WW1 it was used as a racecourse with its own station and halt.
