Frensham Heights Military Hospital

A couple of then and now photos of the Former Frensham Heights Military Hospital just outside Farnham, Surry. It was here my grandfather convalesced after losing his arm at Polygon Wood 26 September 1917. I visited the site in December 2009. It's now the well regarded Frensham Hall liberal private school. To complete the circle, the headmaster and I were both students at the same time, about 5 years apart at my old school in Brisbane in the 70s.

I was very interested to see these pictures, my paternal grandma's second husband died here after receiving gun shot wounds during WW1.

Thank you for posting them.
