Details are: A vintage silver fob medal with a blank gold plated cartouche to the front Awarded to the 2/1 Lancashire Fusiliers Brigade for competing in a football league in 1915 -16 Measures 2.8cm by 2.4cm excluding the hanging loop Weight 12.7g. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1913. Connecting ring marked with the sterling lion. Stamped with the maker's details, Fattorini, Skipton. The Battalion War Diary may contain full details of the competition and scores.I know of one Battalion War Diary which fully records its scores,competitors,prizes awarded when winning the 1915/16 Divisional Football Competition.
