Imad Posted 2 March , 2011 Share Posted 2 March , 2011 Hello This is from the Paschendaele movie ttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tyHgS2H85PY I was curious about the red patch on the left shoulder of the Canucks. I can't tell if it's a maple leaf or the divisional symbol of the 1st Canadian Division (for some reason it does not look like a rectangle). Can someone help? Thanks in advance. CROONAERT Posted 2 March , 2011 Share Posted 2 March , 2011 Looks like the red rectangle with smaller red block on top of the 10th Bn CEF, 1st Can Div to me. Dave
scottmarchand Posted 2 March , 2011 Share Posted 2 March , 2011 That was his unit in the movie. I can't open the link but the abysmal story centred around the 10 Bn (90 mins of my life I'll never have back). whose formation patch is as described above. link to the division signs here: http://www.kaisersbunker.com/cef/1div.htm

Piorun Posted 2 March , 2011 Share Posted 2 March , 2011 Possibly the most embarassing depiction of Canadian military history since the old singing Mounties movies. Antony
Steven Broomfield Posted 3 March , 2011 Share Posted 3 March , 2011 Well at least it didn't have Adam Sandler in it. If you search the Forum, you'll find at least one thread on the movie and its worth (lack of).
