River97 Posted 18 February , 2011 Share Posted 18 February , 2011 Rest in peace soldier boy, gone and no longer forgotten. Peter was awarded the MM for 'bravery in the field' in May 1918 - just over a month after he was reported as missing in action on 5 April 1918. Recognised as a prisoner of war and held near Brandenburg, Germany. Released in January 1919. It seems as though the wounds he suffered from were gun shot wounds to the left shoulder (June 1917) and right chest (April 1918). He was also diagnosed with Typhoid Fever in April 1919 while in Lytton Quarantine Camp. Finally discharged 17 January 1920.
