If using British mapping of the battle areas, it gives a location of either (near) 'England Farm' (vicinity of Blankaart Chateau) or the N.E. section of Croonaert Wood. If a German reference, then we're looking at the reference indicating a point at (approx.) Middelkerke up on the coast, but using the pre-Dec 1917 referencing system. It doesn't really work with the French system either...BUT... if the 'B' is actually an '8' the reference does actually work with one version of French 1:40,000 scale artillery mapping and would indicate an area to the immediate east and north east of Langemarck (with the Steenbeek just about appearing in the bottom left-hand corner of the square)...basically, you'd be looking at something in the area depicted below (Steenbeek in the bottom left, Langemarck just off the image to the right)...
