I have a copy of "British Tank Markings And Names : The Unit markings, individual names and paint colours of British Armoured fighting vehicles, 1914-1945" by BT White. Published 1978.

If anyone would like anything looking up please let me know.

Cheers.

Thanks very much Bob.

Actually the reason I asked is because I'm going to build the Emhar model Whippet which is the topic of that discussion :D

Thanks again,

What do you know about "Egbert"? My great aunt saw this tank on reposing in Doncaster's Market Place during "Tank Week", most likely in April of 1917 or '18. The Lord Mayor and assorted city dignitaries are making the most of the occasion to make patriotic speeches from her turret.

Hi

Any info on a tank called "Tiger" involved in the fighting in Palastine in November 1917. Allegedly sent there by "mistake" Think it was a "female"

Thanks Hambo

Hi Roger,

Here is an detail of the picture with the "Jericho" tank on it.

This info i have came from the Bovington museum:

Jericho a Mark IV female tank of the 10th (J) Battalion. The date is probably March 1918 when this battalion went into action for the first time against German forces in the area around Achiet-le-Grand and Sapignies, just south of Arras. Some of these captured tanks were later repaired and used by the German Army

many Flemish greetings

danny
