Princess Henry Of Battenburg was Princess Beatrice, youngest daughter of Queen Victoria. Princess Beatrice was involved with life on the Isle of Wight, maybe it could be there.

Michelle,

Yes she was also the mother of Prince Maurice KIA near Ypres Oct 1914.

I am trying to put together his story, hence the question.

I am afraid I cannot be definately sure on this one - however it is possible that the hospital was in Osborne Cottage which had been the private residence of the Princess within the grounds of Osborne House. In 1899 the cottage had been linked by a passage way to the nearby Albert Cottage to allow her guests to pass between the two cottages in inclement weather.

The cottages are now The Albert Cottage Hotel, York Avenue, East Cowes

As I said I can't be definate but it may give you a lead.
