Remembered Today:

The Sphinx and two Pommy officers ?

I'm fairly new to this ...

I had picked up some old WW1 post card style photos whilst trawling thru a junk shop by the English southcoast back in the late '80's.

These were recently rediscovered and I wondered whether anyone out there could add a bit more info.

The one on this post shows what appear to be two cane carrying poms, officers maybe ?, atop camels by the sphinx, ably assisted by a local - no doubt many soldiers took the opportunity for such a holiday snap....

I wonder which regiment could they be from ?

Thanks

Could we get a close up of the cap badges and shoulder titles?

They're not officers, but privates. Can you get further into that shoulder title?

afraid not, looks like there is a reflection off the shoulder badge that blurs it .....tried with a photo of the photo but no...

does the shape of the cap badge help in any way ?
