Piorun Posted 23 January , 2011 Share Posted 23 January , 2011 At least two women have been awarded the MC - but none in WW1, therefore outside the scope of our Forum. Antony
HarryBettsMCDCM Posted 23 January , 2011 Share Posted 23 January , 2011 Women in the Great War had an array of Awards particularly towards the end of the War,The MM;peculiarly regardless of "Rank" to nursing staff therefore they were not eligible for the MC & various Allied Awards such as the Croix de Guerre were awarded to Nursing & other Female personnel, along with the Royal Red Cross & Associate RRC,The OBE in its various classes became available to women from 1917, HB
