Mike Cross Posted 23 June , 2004 Share Posted 23 June , 2004 This is a picture of the memorial panel on a water reservoir/tank presented to the town of Fayet in memory of Oxford's soldiers who were killed on March 21st 1918. Around 100 OBLI men died on this date and another 100 or so over the next 10 days. They were holding the line just north of St Quentin at the time of the German offensive. No other details known at this stage. Mike Cross (PS originally 'discovered' on the way back from Pal's Verdun trip, but photographed last week)
