Reviving this thread, now it is December. Some wonderful artwork in the Christmas cards shown here.

Thanks for this Caryl; I'd not seen it before, it is wonderful. Great stuff High Wood.

I echo that. I'm afraid I was going to mutter about the fact that it is only the 11th until I saw the treasure trove.

P.S. I wonder if any one has a 1914 Ambulance card. Horse drawn? Caryl, I couldn't get yours to work!

Having moved from the south of England to the Welsh Marches and into a very old house that needs a lot of careful restoration, I haven't had the time to source many 'new' Christmas cards this past year. However, I have managed to find one or two.

12th (Eastern) Division, Christmas 1917. The image on the inside is clearly the Grand Place at Arras, highly significant for the 12th Division in 1917.

I hope that you don't mind me adding a couple of my own, which might be of interest: Royal Scots Fusiliers - either Christmas 1916/17 or 1917/18 I think. William

Nice to see the RSF's battle honours beginning with Marlborough's "famous four" - BROM.

William,

please add as many as you would like to. It was always my intention when I started this thread that others would add to it.

Simon

Royal Engineers Survey Coy, Balkans, Christmas 1917. G D Armour the artist who signed the card might have been Major later Lieut-Colonel George Denholm Armour, O.B.E., of the Remount Service who served in Salonika from 15th July 1917

Some very late entries for this Christmas.

98th (C.P) Field Ambulance. R.A.M.C. They were originally in the 32nd Division before being moved to the 30th.
