Guest Pat's Posted 18 June , 2004 Share Posted 18 June , 2004 Hi; I am new to this site, but have a great interest in the first world war and in particular the PPCLI. I have recently returned from a 2 week trip to the Somme and Ypres area and in my tours of the cemeteries I noticed that as people passed a Jewish casulty they would place a small stone on the headstone. Can anyone tell me as to the ritual behind this. Thanks Pat's
