Bazezah Posted 10 November , 2010 Share Posted 10 November , 2010 Hi All, A friend has asked me to do some reseach on a medal her mother found. Description: Victory Medal (WW1). The inscription as follows: 225538.1.A.M. W.CARDAS or GARDAS. R.A.F. From the R.A.F. it would seem he served after 1/4/1918, but I'm sorry to say that is all I have, if any Forum Member can shed any light on the matter I would be most grateful. My friend wishes to return the medal to the recipients family. Thanking all in advance Regards Barry
horatio2 Posted 10 November , 2010 Share Posted 10 November , 2010 Wilfred CARDUS was originally in the Royal Naval Air Service. You may get more on him from the Fleet Air Arm Museum.
