Lachlan Posted 8 November , 2010 Share Posted 8 November , 2010 I would appreciate any information on the scheme used by 9th Scottish Division to identify its battalions. I know that a photo (attached) of members of the 8th Black Watch (26th Bde), taken after they captured the ruins of Longueval, Somme in July 1916, shows them wearing a light-coloured (possibly yellow) cloth arc at the top of both sleeves at the shoulders.
