teejay65 Posted 5 November , 2010 Share Posted 5 November , 2010 This was taken from:- http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/britainatwar/8068500/Lord-Ashcroft-interview-Our-bravest-of-the-brave.html "Determined that the collection should be on public display, Lord Ashcroft donated £5 million to build the Lord Ashcroft Gallery in the Imperial War Museum, which opens on November 12." seaJane Posted 5 November , 2010 Share Posted 5 November , 2010 In that case I would guess that there might be a ceremonial opening on the 11th before the collection opens to the public on the 12th?
J Banning Posted 5 November , 2010 Share Posted 5 November , 2010 I think that is the case. However, it appears to be the 12th for the public so sorry about the incorrect information in an earlier post. It promises to be very good indeed.

I will be visiting London for the Rememberence Weekend next week, so i intend to visit it. Are there any other worth while events on, or worth visiting at this time ? seaJane Posted 10 November , 2010 Share Posted 10 November , 2010 Another article about it, from today's BBC http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-11720276 To help you find out what else is on, http://www.allinlondon.co.uk/whats-on.php. I must get to the Florence Nightingale museum on the South Bank which has just been refurbished to honour the centenary of her death: http://www.florence-nightingale.co.uk/cms/
