angelab Posted 3 October , 2010 Share Posted 3 October , 2010 Not sure where to post this information, but I have just seen that a new permanent (free) exhibition is opening at the Imperial War Museum, London, on 12 November, featuring the stories of heroism behind each of the medals displayed. Here's a link. It claims that 208 VCs will be on show, ranging from the Crimean to the Falklands wars. Angela
tootrock Posted 4 October , 2010 Share Posted 4 October , 2010 It would be nice if the website told us the names of the 208. Martin
angelab Posted 4 October , 2010 Author Share Posted 4 October , 2010 It doesn't tell you very much at all, I'm afraid! I had to sit through the (graphically, very clever) animation about the brave sailor twice, to glean even that much. Angela
seaJane Posted 4 October , 2010 Share Posted 4 October , 2010 There's another site about the collection here http://www.victoriacrossheroes.com/collection.html - might be worth contacting them.
