Velocette Posted 29 September , 2010 Share Posted 29 September , 2010 I have had these items in my collection for maybe 30 years. When I aquired the bore scope I was advised it was a WW1 item and I just filed it away as interesting. Has anyone any idea if it was a piece of any official military kit as I have only seen bore scopes mentioned in commercial markets. This one has a tiny embossed stamp as either Gilbert or Cilbert and thats all I know To give an idea of the size I have photographed it next to a brass oil bottle This brass bottle is the same size as a normal Lee Enfield WW2 .No4 303 and I am curious as to when these brass bottles (if it is Enfield) changed to the plastic issues (SMG) John
