hillgorilla Posted 29 September , 2010 Share Posted 29 September , 2010 Yesterday I went to Breightmet, which is near Bolton to photograpg a grave for another GWF member. In the process of finding my way through the cemetery I also foudn some other graves related to the Great War. The cemnetery is not well looked after, which thick vegetation, including brambles. In places it was a struggle to get round. Thought that I would post some of the pictures. Some of the graves have some interesting carvings. BereniceUK Posted 3 September , 2015 Share Posted 3 September , 2015 I visited Breightmet myself last week and found that the war graves, and also all the headstones with inscriptions of names of men who died during WW1 and WW2, are accessible. The gentleman who looks after the CWGC headstones makes sure that they're always well cared for.
