Peter Taylor Posted 31 August , 2010 Share Posted 31 August , 2010 I am researching Arthur Taylor who was a sergeant with the 211th Brigade R.F.A. on the Western Front During this time he befriended a New Zealand artilleryman and intended going to New Zealand with his new found friend at the end of the war,but due to Arthur becoming wounded in the late stages of the war in 1918 this never happened. Reading the war diaries for the 211th Brigade I note that they served alongside the 3rd N.Z.Brigade doing September 1917. It's a long shot but is there anyone out there to whom this story rings a bell? Or anyone researching 3rd N.Z. Brigade in WWI ?
(nzef) Posted 31 August , 2010 Share Posted 31 August , 2010 Hi Peter, I'm not researching them in particular sorry. But if you want, you can read/download the NZEF Artillery history from the following link. It may help align information for you. http://www.nzetc.org/tm/scholarly/tei-WH1NZAr.html Regards Grant
