I have two postcards sent home by my Grandfather, each has a very good photo of a soldier in uniform. On each he mentions 182 D.U.S. I know he served in Malta, Egypt, (& ? Jerusalem), and would like to know what the 182 D.U.S. stood for. Unfortunately neither of the cards gives a name of the soldier in the picture. A 3rd postcard has a photo of Cpl East, who had been at Aldershot, and lived in or near Guildford, Sy. In the photo he is in a uniform of "safari" type. I would like if possible to return the photo to a member of his family.
