deano Posted 27 August , 2010 Share Posted 27 August , 2010 Hello, i would like to know where the 143rd Coy MGC where on 4/10/1917 please. I'm looking into 87896 Pte. Frederick Marshall who was killed on that date. I have read TLLT but not got further than it being with 48th Div. 143rd Brigade. Any info much appreciated. Regards Dean. Colin W Taylor Posted 27 August , 2010 Share Posted 27 August , 2010 Dean If you can PM me your email address I can email you the pages of the war diary. It doesn't mention him by name but he'll be one of 6 killed or three DoW from the fighting around St Julien. Carrington/Charles Edmunds serves in the same Brigade so his personnal account (Soldier from the Wars Returning/Subalterns war) will give a guide to conditions. Hope this helps Colin
