joee86 Posted 26 August , 2010 Share Posted 26 August , 2010 Hello, In my experiance researching men of my family who have served in the first world war I often find out they were injured and get a random set of letters and numbers. For example: Para 392 (xvi) KR. Does anyone have a list on reasons why men could be discharged on medical grounds and the code that matches with it. I assume that para 392 means paragraph 392, does this book still survive? Many thanks. Joe.
centurion Posted 26 August , 2010 Share Posted 26 August , 2010 Yes but I don't have a copy but there's them on the forum as does One of my Great Uncles was discharged from the RGA as sq2XVI which as I understand it was unfit for service (he never went overseas) but its recorded on his SWB card and he went onto work as inspector of heavy ordinance
