Hambo Posted 26 August , 2010 Share Posted 26 August , 2010 A work mate has brought his great granfather's medals in and I have found his MIC which ties up nicely with the medals he has. His date of entry into France is given as the 21st of August 1914 so I assume he was a regular or a reservist. Is there a history of the regiment anywhere and if so would anyone know where they were on the outbreak of war and a rough idea of movements after they arrived in the France would be good to add a little colour. His name was Private Charles Lane Many thanks Hambo
