Where were the 176th on 3rd June 1916 and what actions if any were they involved in on this day? Any information would be most appreciated (War Diary etc.). iain mchenry Posted 21 August , 2010 Share Posted 21 August , 2010 In June 1916 the Company was operating in the Vimy Ridge / Souchez area. Its Coy HQ was at Hersin. From their war diary it mentions on the 3rd June 1916 in the C3 working the Germans blew a camouflet damaging 25 feet of one of our galleries. Killed by an enemy mine are: 147554 Spr Parry W and 147596 Spr Thomas J. 5019 Pte Atkins A, and 5063 Pte Lungate(?) of the 7th Londons attached to 176 T Coy and 132003 Spr Cauldwell H of 176 T Coy were admitted to hospital suffering from the effects of Gas due to enemy blow.
