kzlws6 Posted 21 August , 2010 Share Posted 21 August , 2010 Hi My GGF's MIC lists his Victory Medal and British War medal roll as G/103B14 page 777. Can i access that roll somewhere or was that part of the burnt series that was lost in WW2? I'd like to know what other information about him may be recorded on that roll. His name was John Asher. Thanks in advance.
Guest Posted 21 August , 2010 Share Posted 21 August , 2010 Hi Heinz. You can access the rolls, but you will have to go to Kew, or hire a researcher to look for you. Some kind person may look for you, if you post a request HERE There are examples of Medal rolls, and much more HERE Mike
archangel9 Posted 21 August , 2010 Share Posted 21 August , 2010 You can also ask TNA for an estimate to copy the page. https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/displaycataloguedetails.asp?CATID=5451404&CATLN=6&Highlight=%2CG%2C103B14&accessmethod=0 Click on "Ordering and viewing options" then click "Order printed or digital copies of this record". Provide all relevant details - name, number, etc and page 777. TNA will provide you with an estimate within 14 days I think. John
