Remembered Today:

Seeking old soldier's living relatives

Dear All,

Seeking any living relatives of L/Corporal 3084 Charles William Toms, 2nd Bn. East Surrey Regiment - born at Underwood, Devonshire, England (date as yet unknown) and KIA in 1915.

It is believed that just after the war, his NOK (exact relationship unknown) lived in the West Ham, East London area (then part of Essex).

From what little I have uncovered to date, it seems fairly likely at this stage (though not conclusive) that Charles may have died unmarried leaving no direct descendants, but the lack of results relating to his NOK is severely hampering this line of enquiry.

If anyone can assist in tracking down any living relatives of this man, I would be very grateful indeed, as I have some recently found items in relation to him which I would like to pass on to his family.

Many thanks,

P.
