Guest josefclaus Posted 10 August , 2010 Share Posted 10 August , 2010 Can anyone help decipher some Feldpostkartes sent from Belgium and France in Sep. and Oct. of 1916. The postmarks from France are as follows: K.D.Feldpoststation -6.10.16.9-10V Nr. 24 a Feld-Recruten-Depot Briefstempel VIII.Armeekorps - 2 Batallion One card is a group shot of about 2 dozen uniformed men sitting in front of a handpainted sign "1916 Frankreich 1916" Another card with no military postmarks from Elsenborn Belgium on 5 Jul 1916, shows 4 uniformed men standing behind a picture of an airplane as if they are flying it. Obviously meant to be a humorous picture. Any chance that the locations in France might be identified with the scant information from the postmarks?
