ianmccallum Posted 8 January , 2013 Share Posted 8 January , 2013 Hi Phil Reference the colours of the 15th North Belfast battalion. Can you tell me a bit about them, were they are official colours and when the battalion received them. Ian
rob elliott Posted 21 January , 2013 Share Posted 21 January , 2013 Ian, I think these are possibly the Old Comrades Standard. The battle honours don't seem to read correct to suit what the Ulster Division were entitled to. The 108th Brigade which the 15th belonged to did get to more than the rest of the Division due to being involved in the two extra battles so 12 honours would be correct but it looks like the names of the battles are mis-named. It was not the Battle of the Somme 1916. The Official name was the Battle of Albert and this would go on the colour. Rob
