4thGordons Posted 8 August , 2010 Share Posted 8 August , 2010 Sorry about the rather damaged picture. Can anyone identify the significance of the large diamond shaped patch on the pith helmets here? I have not seen such an emblem on the front of sun-helmets before. from the sliver of visible kilt and the hose of the men on the right (as we look), I think these may be Seaforth Highlanders and the location may be India. I do not know the date of the picture; they are wearing 03 equipment and appear to be armed with SMLE MkIs rather than MLEs or MkIIIs which is a rather mixed message! Perhaps just pre war?
