I do know some details but can anyone help with further info or are any pictures of the battalion officers around. Commanded Cyclist Company 1906-08 Commanded H (Hornsey) Coy Aug 1914 the C Coy (Hornsey) on reorganisation into four companies Jan 15 Rejoined 8th Nov 16 from hospital 30th Nov severely wounded making an inspection of the Duck's Bill, fortified mine crater near Neuve Chapelle. Heavy trench mortar burst in it killing/wounding most of the garrison. It was 40 yards from the enemy lines. Rejoined 5th Dec 17 at Mont St Eloi Not completely recovered, acted as Town Major, returned to England 2nd March 18 for six month's rest. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

In seeking a service file number (WO339) for this Officer I get inundated with links to King s everything,72 pages of records showing all those officers who served in such as the King's Royal Rifle Corps,etc etc. There might be a way of whittling it down,but I haven't found it yet !
