There is an officer photo 1914 in the 7th MIddx history but currently I do not have the means to copy it.

Commanded Cyclist Company 1906-08

Commanded H (Hornsey) Coy Aug 1914 the C Coy (Hornsey) on reorganisation into four companies Jan 15

Rejoined 8th Nov 16 from hospital

30th Nov severely wounded making an inspection of the Duck's Bill, fortified mine crater near Neuve Chapelle. Heavy trench mortar burst in it killing/wounding most of the garrison. It was 40 yards from the enemy lines.

Rejoined 5th Dec 17 at Mont St Eloi Not completely recovered, acted as Town Major, returned to England 2nd March 18 for six month's rest.

A test of patience here. In seeking a service file number (WO339) for this Officer I get inundated with links to King s everything,72 pages of records showing all those officers who served in such as the King's Royal Rifle Corps, etc etc. There might be a way of whittling it down, but I haven't found it yet ! Someone here might know how .
