l.burr1@ntlworld.com Posted 4 August , 2010 Share Posted 4 August , 2010 I'm trying to find out more about an action on the 30th September or 1st October 1918 which my father was involved in. I've recently returned from Northern France and visited a site a short distance North of Rumilly which I think was is the correct location. In one of his letters he mentions an attack on hill side quarry which contained dugouts and stables. Local information pointed me towards Mont sur L'oeuvre which has an overgrown quarry on the southern side. Can anyone confirm this was the right place? Thanks.
