jasmor58 Posted 3 August , 2010 Share Posted 3 August , 2010 Have been researching 44105 Pte S. Fryer, 7/8 KOSB. Died of wounds 18/ 9./16 and is burried in St. Pierre Cemetery, Amiens. Where would the 7/8th Batt have been stationed on the line? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jasmor58

Left Scots Redoubt at 7pm on 14th to return to the front line 15th September: the capture of Martinpuich. battalion set out from shell-holes and Bacon Trench, drove the enemy out of the village and established posts N of Martinpuich, an advance of 1400 yards. The Battalion remained in the line until relieved on the night of 17/18th. Regards Martin
