Emile was J/456 Royal Fusiliers, joined in 1917 and was discharged to sickness in early 1918,no overseas service. He had a Silver War Badge. No service or pension record seen. Did he have a brother Barrett Glickman,a Russian from East London (England)? He was also a Royal Fusilier (J/550) from East London, who also joined in 1917 and was discharged in early 1918 as unfit. He didn't have a Silver War Badge. There are a few other Glickmans from London on the Medal Rolls.

Harry Motchan is spelt that way on the Medal Cards 273899 Labour Corps, but is spelt Motcham on a pension record I have seen.

I remember you were seeking a Russian connection in respect of a ship passenger recently.

If you want to use our e-mail link please do so.

The J/ prefix denotes a man enlisted into (or transferred to) one of the Jewish Battalions (38th, 39th or 40th who served overseas, and 41st and 42nd who didn't) of the Royal Fusiliers.
