Dan Wallace Posted 2 August , 2010 Share Posted 2 August , 2010 My great grandfather, Andrew Wallace, fought with the 2nd Canadian Mounted Rifles out of Winnipeg during the Boer War. As a result, he was awarded the QSA with 3 clasps (see previous forum - also looking for his QSA medal). The attached picture, taken in Winnipeg during this period, shows Andrew wearing a pin or medal on his left lapel that appears to resemble some sort of Maltese Cross. We were wondering if anyone could help us identify this pin - military or other community organization? We don't think he was in the fire department. Any information or suggestions would be very helpful. Thank you. Dan Wallace
Dan Wallace Posted 3 August , 2010 Author Share Posted 3 August , 2010 I have attached a better picture - I've tried every way but Saturday to crop the picture with the best resolution. I hope this picture works. Dan
