WAAF - Letter A Badge

Anybody know what the letter A badge was to represent on a WW2 womans RAF/WAAF uniform? Clearly worn on the upper arm below the winged eagle.

was this for Auxillary or something else?

Yes, WW2 it stood for auxiliary, the WW1 equivalent WRAF were not auxiliary services.
