susan kitchen Posted 30 July , 2010 Share Posted 30 July , 2010 I had a relative who was in the 2nd Bn East Lancashire Regiment and another relative who was in the 1st Bn York and Lancaster Regiment.. I would like to know more about these Regiments, especially about their time during the War. but although i've put a post on Book reviews no one has come up with ideas on any books i could read. Is there any other way i could find out more about these Regiments.? Susan.

mark pearson Posted 15 August , 2010 Share Posted 15 August , 2010 Susan Try the curator/historian for Yorks and Lancs Museum in Rotheram. Most helpful and will copy such info on histories as you would wish....... for a fee of course, though at a rasonable rate. I am also led to believe that the Central LIbrary in Rotherham allows for resaerch on the Yorks and Lancs. .Karl.Noble@rotherham.gov.uk Hope this helps, Regards Percy
