Just stumbled upon this thread... I'm re-reading my stuff about Le Tréport as I'm heading there in two weeks' time.

Me too, they are cool aren't they.

My only comment is they are so small I can't read the text which I would love to and can't get the link to text for 10 wounded officers to work. But thanks for posting these.

 

Now to business. 

Ida Kate Whitehead. FYI 

B 6 dec 1886 ( baptism record) (registered mar 1887 ), gissing Norfolk daughter Robert police constable b1857 huntingdonshire and Rebecca b 1858 Norfolk.

Two sisters, Rebecca E b 1883 and Alice W b 1885.

Appears in Gissing 1891

1901 as plain Ida , Visiting the Sparks family in Marske in Yorkshire.

Joseph b 1859 gt horksley essex, carter in mine, Hannah b1847 wretton in Norfolk ( I'm picking as the most lightly relation)

Plus a boarder and a nephew to the Sparks.

1911 working as probationary nurse at the west Norfolk workhouse.

1921 boarding in wymondham norfolk with Alice Margaret Read aged 40, single b watlington Norfolk,  district nurse for the wymondham nursing association.

Ida has no occupation.

Death for Ida K aged 34 in Forehoe district Norfolk in 1922.
