Help with Dorset Regt

Hi all.

I am reseaching Charles James Pople who served in the Dorset Regt. His MIC only gives Regt No 16535 & Dorset Regt & confirms Pair only.

His full medal entitlment is

MBE 2nd Type Civil. LG 1 Jan 1958, as Chief Clerk, Territorial & Auxiliary Forces Association, County of Dorset.

British War Medal 16535 Pte C J Pople Dorset R

Victory Medal 16535 Pte C J Pople Dorset R

WW2 War Medal un named

Territorial Efficiency Medal 5720580 Sjt C J Pople 4-Dorset R

Efficiency Medal 5720580 C/Sjt C J Pople Dorset R

Can any one tell me anything from his two Regt No's & how do I find out when the Efficiency Medals were issued to him ??

Any help much appreciated.

On a purely mathmatical theme the the Territorial 'Force' Efficiency Medal (1908) was superseded by the Territorial Efficiency Medal in 1921 for 12 years service (war service counting as double)and again it being superseded by the Efficiency Medal in Oct 1931, so my guess is the earliest he could have got the latter is 1931,(who's Head is on the medal?) that said if some one has the relevant Army Order names and dates were published in this manner

From the War Badge Roll, the soldier with service number 16547 joined the Dorsetshire Regiment on 11th December 1915, as did many others with numbers around this figure. It is safe to assume that Pte Pople either joined directly, or was transferred in from another unit, very close to this date.
