Hi all,

can anyone tell me what the difference in insignia between a Lance Serjeant and Serjeant RFA would have been at the end of the war ?

Thanks

M

I thought that the colour also had something to do with it a dull cream colour or something similar instead of the usual color that being a lot darker.

On SD it would be what was available. A Corporal made up to Lance Serjeant would probably just have an additonal chevron sewn above the existing two which may or may not have been slightly different in colour.

When the rank was made substantive he would probably have new three chevron insignia but again it would depend on what was available from the QM.
