Hi, i am looking for help with this chap 'Joseph Stirling' Royal Field Artillery no 605. I have his service record and MIC.

Would anybody have a copy of the medal roll showing Josephs entry?

Joseph was admitted to hospital, and on his record it shows P.U.O. any idea what this abbreviation stands for?

Joseph was invalided to England ' Per St Andrew' ''malaria''. Would St Andrew be the ship that he sailed home on?

Thank you for any help

From The Long Long Trail

PUO : Pyrexia of Unknown Origin (medical term usually applied to Trench Fever)

You will have to go to Kew, or hire a researcher to see medal rolls. Or place a request HERE

Yes, I think St Andrew would have been the ship.

Cheers Mike
